FAQ
1. Is ThoughtSummit for ThoughtFarmer customers only?
ThoughtSummit is not a sales pitch. It is an opportunity for intranet managers, communications professionals, and IT folk to learn and network with each other. Our sessions cover a range of topics from internal communication, workplace productivity, and employee engagement.
2. I just purchased my ticket! How do I access the discounted hotel rates?
First of all, congratulations! We can’t wait to see you in May. ThoughtSummit attendees get a preferred rate at the Delta Suites hotel in downtown Vancouver, which is located in the same building as the conference centre. You can access the discounted hotel rate on Delta Suites’ website. Under ‘Special Rates’, select ‘Corporate/Promo/Set’ and use the code “EYK”.
3. Where do I pick up my conference pass?
Badges will be available to pick up on Monday, May 13th between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. The registration table will be located outside of the conference hall in the main foyer. To keep things simple, we just need your name and the name of your organization. You aren’t required to bring or present anything else.
4. What is the dress code?
We like to keep things pretty casual. Wear what makes you comfortable! But if you prefer to have some guidelines, we recommend business casual. On Monday attendees will be invited to join in a fun team building activity, so we suggest you bring clothes that you’re comfortable moving around in, including a flat pair of shoes.
5. How do I get to the hotel? The venue?
From the airport, there are two ways to get to the hotel (three, if you count walking but we assume you want to arrive a little quicker than 3 and a half hours).
The Canada Line skytrain station is connected directly to the Vancouver International Airport. Get a 2-zone ticket, and take the train to Waterfront Station. From there it’s about a 2-minute walk to the hotel. Once you exit the train station, head southeast on West Cordova Street toward Seymour Street, turn right onto Seymour Street, and then turn left onto West Hastings Street.
If you choose to take a taxi, from the Vancouver International Airport to downtown Vancouver it takes approximately 30 minutes.
